You can write a quick grammar in the parser generator
of your choice (mine is Parse::RecDescent) to recognise the
dependency description and output it in a way that suits you.
It is fairly easy to output a data structure (with Data::Dumper)
representing the parse tree (it may even be done automatically with the
<autotree> directive) and that may help.
