I don't mind writing some stuff up in a wiki. However 3 wikis is a bit much
!
Concerning my findings, I suppose most of it should be covered by
corrections to the 'configure' process, but I'yet to learn about its inner
workings to be able to provide patches. My aim is to help fix Nagios
upstream for it to work out of the box without patches.
For package management on AIX there is installp (proprietary) and rpm. Rpm
is probably the better solution, prerequisites for Nagios are available as
rpm already. But I'm not really aiming for a binary distribution.
