See the attached chart for one of our Nagios servers (no photoshop, I swear! ;)) with
Nagios: 3.0rc3
Box: HPDL380 G4
Instanz1: 780 Hosts, 1601 Services / 5min
Instanz2: 380 Hosts, 1013 Services / 5 min
Chart: ORCA
Nearly no perfdata, a very lean NDO only for NagVIs purposes. I would also assume it's Nagios itself..
