new profiling feature not in cvs?

was just wondering, anyone evaluating the profiling stuff?
I have not tested it properly, but there is plans to apply it to cvs 
right? it would be a much welcomed feature from my side, and possibly 
others.
I've been meaning to test it, I most likely will one of these days.
