Hi everyone. I am new on the mailing list. I have a question regarding some
functions of nagios.
When I click on Trends under Reporting, I never get any image created. And
when it happens, my /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log in Apache contains:
Tue Nov 5 01:17:55 2002] [error] [client 192.168.1.102] Premature end of
script headers: /usr/local/nagios/share/nagios/cgi-bin/trends.cgi
While in my /var/log/messages, it contains:
Nov 5 01:17:55 mybox /kernel: pid 2090 (trends.cgi), uid 65534: exited on
signal 11
Here are the perm on /usr/local/nagios/share/nagios/cgi-bin:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root nagios 109 Nov 2 22:58 .htaccess
-rwxrwxr-x 1 nagios nagios 147568 Nov 2 22:13 avail.cgi

In Alert Histogram, I do get an image but I don't see it with line for the
chart. What am I missing? I am just seeing the grid lines.
Btw, at home, I installed nagios too and I am able to generate/see the vrml
page using a vrml plugin.
I also installed nagios in the office but I am not able to see any vrml
page. The vrml plugin on my browser pops up telling me, "expected name"
something, line 356, blah blah. Any ideas about my error in my nagios
office?
Another question, how would I make use of check_dns plugin inside the
services.cfg? My DNS is showing as CRITICAL. :)
Lastly, my status map is messed or should I stay, the normal configuration.
They all sit in one big circle. How would I mimic/copy like the screenshot
in the nagios site? Looks like it's in heirarchy. An example will greatly
help me.
Please help.
Thank you very much. Overall, I am totally satisfied with the program.
Good job!
Neil
