I am missing it. I grep'd for DEPS and found no instances.

My workaround to this is to comment out the lines:
#DEPS_MAGIC := $(shell mkdir .deps > /dev/null 2>&1 || :)

#-include $(DEP_FILES)
in the plugins Makefile. I've added this to the FAQs, so it should be there
soon.
