Need help to change check_nt to report UNKNOWN state instead of W ARNING

I'm not shure I am going down the right path here but...

What I am after is to get check_nt in conjunction with pNSClient
to report a UNKNOWN state when it cannot connect or retrieve any 
data from a host instead of a WARNING state.
