performance data from plugins - does it exist?

Hello Michael,
You say, you use mrtg, but you must have a script to parse the
performance data file, no ?
As say Jo, if you have time to explain a bit it will be cool ;)
And perhaps complete the FAQ because it seems that it's an important
question that a lot of people ask or just think about it
Little question, why mrtg and not rrdtool ?
