I'm using the Solaris 8 binaries on Solaris 2.6 and they seem to work OK.
I'd go ahead and try it.

Hi Nagios gurus,

I am about to install nrpe on Solaris7 but would like to avoid all the
unnecessary pkg hassle that i may get. I cant seem to find the nrpe package
for solaris7 and only manage to find nrpe-1.5 for 8 at
http://nagios.sourceforge.net/download/ports/solaris/

Was just wondering if I can use this package for solaris 7? Anyone try
installing it on solaris 7 before? I have checked out the cvs but to no
avail.

Thanks,
Jasmine Chua
