Warning: Monitoring process may not be running!

When you click the link that is provided for more information, what does it tell you? It will provide you with the reason why it doesn't think nagios is running.

Help!! I am getting the warning that Monitoring process may not be running, I checked the FAQ's, and did exactly what is listed, but it still will not work. I can run the the check at a command line and it says all is well, plus until I rebooted the nagios server yesterday it worked properly. Please help I'm at my wits end.
