Monitoring MS Outlook Web Access

Richard,
I guess you may already know but the way Exchange 2000 OWA works is unlike
Exchange 5.5 OWA where, Exchange 2000 has specific URLs for each object, I
believe this is part of the webdav OWA that Exchange 2000 uses.
For example the following url opens a mail message username's mailbox from
the inbox folder:
http://phl0103/exchange/Username/Inbox/EmailSubjectLine.EML?Cmd=open
As far as how to do this with Exchange 5.5 OWA??
I know I used gotmail in the past which is an os program / perl files to
open and access mailboxes on hotmail. - would you consider this a web
scraper script?

Mark

This is close to what is required, as it at least verifies users
can login. Unfortunately I still need to open an e-mail message
from the inbox. Which is where the web scraper script becomes
necessary.

This works for me (OWA with SSL):
define service {
host_name mailsrv
service_description Https
check_command
check_https!datavis/nagios:<password>!/exchange/!"This page uses frames"
use generic-service
normal_check_interval 1
}
define command {
command_name check_https
command_line /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_http --ssl -H
$HOSTADDRESS$ -a $ARG1$ -u $ARG2$ -s $ARG3$
}
You must make sure your check_http can handle SSL.

Has anyone written any scripts to monitor an OWA system?
What I'm looking for is a method of logging into the
system with a dummy account, open up its inbox and open
an e-mail message. I have a developer working on this
with an html scraper, but he's having issues with the .asp
pages and pop-up login prompts.
Thanks,
Richard
