Hi,
just start nagios, nsca and snmptrapd on the same server.
Use send_nsca with "localhost" as the receiver.
For me, it works well.

Betreff: [Nagios-users] Snmp Trap with nagios
Hello,
I need to catch traps coming from a W2K server and then link it with an event.
I have read the nagios doc concerning SNMP traps but in the given example the SNMP trap receiver
and the nagios server are 2 different server. So it use ncsa client and server.
But in my case, the Nagios and SNMP trap receiver are the same Linux Box.
How can i proceed to communicate traps to Nagios ?
Thanks,
Steve
