NRPE Issue

sounds like the allowed_hosts is set to the loopback which is default
for security reasons.

On the remote machine where nrpe is running look in the config file 
nrpe.cfg

allowed_hosts=127.0.0.1

change to 

allowed_hosts=127.0.0.1,<NAGIOS SERVER IP>

restart nrpe
