help !!

Hi,

I am pretty new to Linux . I had installed Nagios on Redhat and had it
working but had to shift to Gentoo. Once I have shifted , the external
commands are not working . Everytime I try to submit it gives TCP error
/communication problem . Have checked and found that Apache is running under
"nagios" and have configured the permissions on "rw" accordingly but it does
not work .. if anyone has any suggestions .. it would be great . I also
compared the configs of httpd.conf ( in redhat) and apache.conf ( in gentoo)
and they r the same ...
