Notification acknowledgement and escalation

Hi all

I'm a new Nagios user, and I've found it a bitch to setup, but great
once its running.

I have a question regarding escalation, which I've not been able to find
the answer to in the documentation: Does nagios continue to escalate
notifications if a problem has been acknowledged?

I have a situation in which I need to escalate certain notifications if
and only if the problem has not been acknowledged.  If this isn't
currently supported by nagios, please consider this a feature request :)
