I don't know about nrpe, but nagios-plugins 1.3.0 should work on Tru64, but
you have to run configure with --with-df-command="/sbin/df -Pk".
Details on http://nagiosplug.sourceforge.net/snapshot/.
If you still have problems, output of the configure and make would be
helpful.
