Howto to compile ./contrib/check_blah.c modules?

All,

Caveat: - Not a programmer...

How can I compile the check_blah.c? I don't fancy editing the Makefile for
all the contributed modules. I am really looking for the check_dhcp (and
there are a couple of others I would like a play with...)

The system is getting bigger (and more useful)...should really start
documenting the setup...
