Help with NRPE 2.0

I just installed Nagios on a RedHat 7.3 and have everything running
great with monitoring NT boxes for disk space and process.   Now I want
to monitor Solaris boxes.  So I added NRPE to the remote host following
the instruction step by step.  After getting everything started I get
CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake on the Nagios.  I
reconfigured with out SSL and still get the same error.  I have done a
lot of searches and have not been able to find any solution to my
problem any help would be great
