If you change the plugin you can output whatever you want back to nagios. Nagios 
will format and wrap the text to fit the screen if needed. In fact you can 
actually send back HTML as part of the "Status information" if you want. I have 
used HTML to give me a clickable link to another tool when an event happens.

 
 This got nothing to do with nagios itself, you'll have to modify the
plugins to display more information.
