daemon dies on "ps" when compiled to support MySQL

Hi,

Can someone help me figure out when nagio daemon is dying on "ps" when I've
compiled it to use MySQL logging. I can see in the debug that Nagios is
inserting entries into the db but it dies shortly after while trying to do a
"PS".
