Too much Service-Errors

 Hello list,

 I'm new to you.
I use NAGIOS for a part of our university. We have 131 service-checks with
26 hosts.

My problem:
If a host goues down, NAGIOS alerts me with plenty service-errors instead of
just telling me HOST DOWN.

Any ideas?
