Notably, though, in Solaris.  100% utilization does not mean the box is
'pegged', thanks to preemptive multitasking (something windows only
pretends to have).

This is why (as I said in another email on this thread), Load is the
correct way to judge a Unix (or Linux) server's...well...load.

Also, on a multiprocessor box, using iostat, 50% utilization doesn't
tell you if that's 25% per processor, 50% on one with 0% on the other or
somewhere in between.  If that's important to you :)

Load is an excellent delimiter of activity once you get used to looking
at it.
