APAN + NRPE?

I'm curious if anyone has experimented with using APAN over NRPE?

 

Basically I want to collect performance data from remote hosts and view
the graphs on a central server.

I have been through the APAN and NRPE documentation and haven't seen
anything like this yet. If anyone is running a similar setup I'd love to
hear from you.
