Tune the 3 following fields to fit your needs.
normal_check_interval 15 (check every 15 minutes)
retry_check_interval 15 (if down enters soft down state and
re checks in 15 mins)
max_check_attempts 2 (must fail twice before entering a
hard state)
Make sense? or did i totally mis-understand your question?
