You can probably assume around 400bytes payload for remote plugins
(executed under NRPE, check_by_ssh, etc) - per service, per try.
SNMP plugins and others that do network based queries like check_http will
generate a bit more traffic that is query dependent.
You will not necessary save bandwidth by using SNMP. It is just another
method getting information...
