Apologies for the huge delay on this message but ...
I am still having the same issue. I have read EVERY post in the
archieve and I have also done the make devclean, make distclean, make
clean etc.
Also I added the directories that were needed for the libraries to
/etc/ld.so.conf and ran ldconfig (this is what the configure script told
me to do).
I am not really fussed about the statusmap but I am about the trending
as I need to see if it gives me the info that I am after.
If there is anything else I can add that would help please let me
know.

If you've installed those libraries after you attempted the first
configure() you may want to perform a "make distclean" and rerun the
configure; the cached values might cause a problem.
