Hi,
I can use the check_dhcp plugin as user nagios from command line.
[nagios at wl000339 libexec]$ ./check_dhcp -s 192.168.0.5 -r 192.168.0.55 -i
eth0
DHCP ok: Received 4 DHCPOFFER(s), 1 of 1 requested servers responded,
requested address (192.168.0.55) was offered, max lease time = 0 sec.
chech_dhcp file has the following permissions an is suid root:
-rwsr-x--- 1 root nagios 19501 Mai 27 16:01 check_dhcp
User nagios is in group nagios and nagios runs as user nagios.
uid=502(nagios) gid=502(nagios) groups=502(nagios),503(nagiocmd)
nagios 17901 0.0 0.4 2068 1056 ? S 17:07 0:00
/opt/nagios/bin/nagios -d /opt/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
If I use check_dhcp in the services.cfg, I always get the following error
on the Service Detail webpage.
Could not bind socket to interface 192.168.. Check your privileges...
I have no idea what the problem is, the permissions/ownership should be ok.
Any ideas?
Ralf
