There is a utility with expect called 'autoexpect' which will watch you do
a login and record the session so you don't have to do the coding from
scratch. You can tweak the autolearned script if necessary after you see
how expect works. My distro doesn't include the autoexpect script and if
yours doesn't either just download expect and get it. Here is the manpage
