Upgrading from nagios 1.0 to 1.2

Hi all.

I'm running nagios 1.0 on RedHat 7.2 and it works well. I'm panning to
upgrade to nagios 1.2, using s=the same machine (RH 7.2).

Is there some recommendation, or tutorial? If I install using:

# tar -zxvf ...
# make all ...
# make install ...

my new nagios (1.2) will replace the old one and run automatically?
