CGI parameters issue/question

I've got Nagios 1.2 installed on a dedicated box running Fedora Core 2.
This is not a new install, but an upgrade from Nagios 1.1 that was
running on a shared SuSE 7.3 box. I did a fresh compile of the nagios
and nagios-plugins source code and then copied over the configuration
files from the old server. Everything seemed to work fine except for
some wacky CGI output on some of the views. For example, Status
Overview worked fine while Service Detail and Tactical Overview
produced output like:
ELF╴╴4╴╴4
(44╴4╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴_╴_╴`╴`{`{╴╴' ╴ ╴
╴╴╴╴╴ /lib/ld-linux.so.2GNUCC1 at B(
5
'?3A-8=
.>
!:,04*7#
I managed to get Service Detail working by changing the href in the nav
bar from:
http://10.1.1.8/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi?host=all
to
http://10.1.1.8/nagios/cgi-bin/status.cgi?host=all&style=servicedetail
I guess my questions are:
1) Is my setup missing something that provides default CGI parameters?
2) Any ideas what additional parameter I should pass to Tactical
Overview to get it working?
3) Anyone else seen this type of behavior before?
Thanks for any input.
