NSCLIENT - Connection refused under load?

First of all you should think about updating to a newer version of
NSClient and maybe a newer version of Nagios :)
I don't know of your Version of NSClient got check_nt option "-t" with
that you can define a timeout for the service check. So when there are a
lot of service checks they will last longer, when you increase the time
before they time out, this may help...
