Nagios Mysql Installation

Greetings!

My boss installed Nagios on a test machine that did not have MySQL on it. So he, did not install it with MySQL support. I have been digging through the Nagios doc and I cannot find any references to storing the data in a MySQL database. What am I missing? We are using the default installation provided with SuSE 9.0. Is that part of the problem? Is it only availabe when you install from the source? Any help is greatly appreaciated.
