Nagios is not loading configuration

I changed a service check from 5 minutes to 120 minutes, stopped ALL  
nagios processes, restarted nagios, and the check is still being scheduled  
every 5 minutes....I checked for multiple nagios process, and thats not  
the problem.  Any suggestions?
