Pb with the start script of nrpe

Carole,
I presume your 'check_nrpe_nossl' calls check_nrpe with the -n option ?
Do your scripts output one line of text when you execute them locally on the
hp-ux servers ?
What's in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log when you start nrpe
(/usr/local/nagios/bin/nrpe -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/nrpe.cfg -d) ?
The command that I would run is : ./check_nrpe -H hostname -t 60 -p
5666 -n -c check_oracle_databases
Frederik
