I've made some fair few modifications to the plugins, making them
smaller, more efficient, less buggy, and more feature-rich. The
check_mysql in that package supports the --timeout argument.

You can download it at http://oss.op5.se/nagios
If the build-process fails, you should try running
sh tools/setup
If that doesn't work, gimme a holler and I'll fix it.
