Hello All, a quick question about Passive host checks.
I am setting up a distributed Nagios, and am using passive host checks
to monitor hosts behind my FW. the passive host check and the Obsessive
-ness work fine however I am getting into an issue.
on the external Nagios box (the one that receives all the nsca
service/host checks from the internal Nagios) I have freshness checking
turned on for the host as well as the services... the problem is because
of the default Nagios behaviour host checks are only run if there are
service problems...
So thus I am in the spot where all my services are OK on the box but the
host's are critical because of freshness checking.
Is there a way that I can get my internal Nagios to run Host Checks for
the internal boxes every X mins like it would for a service check.. or
is there another good way to deal with this?
