Nagios Error

hi !
 i can across the same error while configuring nagio-2.0b2 Error: Host
'localhost' has no default contact group(s) defined!".I have configure the
minimal.cfg file .I was in doubt of where exactly do we put the
contact_group

 ">I put contact_groups only in the host definitions - that won"t work.
 > It worked after putting contact_groups in the absolute base template of
 > my host AND service definitions..."
what is a absolute base template?i am no programer ,network engineer with
limited knowlegde of scripting!!
