Template Based Configuration Issues

Actually, in Netsaint-land, beta ran for years without problems. ;]
In this case, I've already coded around the holes in the template
based configuration so I'll stay at 1.2 for now. However, it sounds
like my next upgrade to 2.0 will be trivial compared to my current
change from Netsaint to Nagios.
