You must have nagios checking the SMTP service on that machine.
Disabling notifications for a host or service does not disable checks
and only prevents email notifications for problem hosts and services
going out. Use "Disable checks of all services on this host" or for a
specific service, "Disable checks of this service" to stop the checks
themselves. If you want to permanently stop the check, remove the
service definition from your config files.
