Can you help me with nrpe? How works it?

You should not start it manually. Inetd will launch it when the
conection is  estabilished.

> Why I can't obtein data from the remote host?

Try to telnet port 5666. If you succeed enable dubug=1 in nrpe.cnf.
Check /var/log/daemons (or /var/log/messagens) on the remote machine
to trace what is going wrong.
