Has anybody ported the nagios UI to their own?

Hi Robert,
yep we've done something like this. 
 What we've used is the nagios-1.3 mysql version wich stores everything in 
some DB with a known scheme. Incorporating the status information in your 
homebrewn web portal should not be difficult.
If you use nagios2 things are a bit tricky , you'll have to look for the 
nagios/mysq event broker.
 Also there are very good php , perl and python classes to parse the nagios 
configuration file and extract necessary information.
