Newbie problem: Notifications are not being sent out

Problem solved.  I made a stupid configuration mistake and had the 
contacts setup to receive all types of notifications, including n, or 
none.  Therefore, no messages went out.  Found the problem quickly with 
DEBUG4 enabled.
