Freebsd/Nagios

We currentlly run nagios 2.0 on FreeBSD 6.0. We noticed the bug that was
posted at this link: http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/2_0/whatsnew.html .
I have noticed on three occassions where one of the nagios-plugins was hung
and spiking the load. On two of the occasions no plugins were executed after
the plugin that was hung. On the third occasion the plugins were still
executing (rather slowly) even after a plugin had hung. Is this the same
issue? This has become a major problem for us becuase monitoring is mission
critical and we are to the point of moving to a linux based distribution.
I'd rather not. Has anyone had similar experiences with nagios on freebsd or
nagios plugins hanging? Can anyone tell me anything more about this FreeBSD
bug, such as has it been fixed in 2.1 or when/if it will be fixed?
