migrating from 1.x to 2.x, mysql backend to flat files

I'd like to move from 1.x to 2.x but I am currently storing logs in
mysql. I'm not married to mysql, so I don't mind leaving it behind.
However, I need to keep the status/uptime/etc info I have stored in
mysql. If there a process defined somewhere to suck the info out of
the db and put it into flat files for 2.x as if it has always been
there?
