Plugins

Greetings:


I downloaded the developers doc, but how do I read a doc with a .sgml
extension ?

Would someone be able to point me towards some info on how to write a plugin
or
incorporate a 3rd party plugin into my current Nagios setup ?

I already have the default Nagios plugin pack installed , but would like to
create
some of my own system specific monitoring plugins.
