notification retention

Hi,

Thanks a lot for this great project. I have two simple questions:
- Is Nagios able to keep notifications for a given contact
  until its service_notification_period is reached ?
- Is nagios able to keep a service in CRITICAL state until a
  person acknowledged  it and even if this service is back to OK
  state ?
