I believe acknowledging will stop the notifications - in fact, it will
send its own ACKNOWLEDGE notification.
However, Hugo, I may be mistaken, but scheduling downtime when a service
is critical still shows the service as critical in all reports, doesn't
it? The breakdown shows scheduled versus unscheduled but the summary
shows it as critical and an outage. As you did state, one could comment
them out or, I suppose, add register 0 to their definition - John
