The equivalent (working) command on my install is :
define command{
command_name check_nt_msexc_smtp_req
command_line $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p $ARG1$ -v COUNTER -l
"\\SMTP Server(_Total)\\Remote Queue Length","SMTP Remote queue length %.0f"
-w $ARG2$ -c $ARG3$ -s $ARG4$
}
Looks like some of the characters have got mangled in yours.
