If your active servers are sending check results passively to the
standby nagios server, so the one log that matters is the one that the
passive standby nagios server logs, because, if you ever needs to grow
your distributed nagios active pool, you should just point the ocsp
command to the standby nagios server for it to log all your active
checks passively.

We have 11 distributed active nagios servers sending (but not logging)
check results to one central nagios that logs everything and keeps all
the services aggregated within the same Web-GUI for the NOC people to
ticketing who they might need to. Notifications and logging are handled
by the central server.
