Regarding Nrpe in sun 5.8

Hello
                     I want to monitor oracle alert logs from my sun 5.8 
server with nrpe. I m nt able to  install nrpe in sun 5.8 . Can anybody 
tell that how to install nrpe and retrieve oracle alert logs.
